A pair of rare pansy pattern bowls by Royal Doulton.
The pattern (D4049) was introduced in 1917 and withdrawn by 1930.
One has some scratches from use, on the inner surface of the bowl, the other has a small makers’ defect where a spot of colour is missing on the bottom petal of a blue pansy. No significant damage or chips.
The perfect size for snack bowls.
