A smaller version of my shire horse ‘domestic sculptures’.

This one stands 26cm tall, is 22cm long and 8cm wide.

These pieces invoke memories of fairytales, myths and legends and are left for you to further wrap with your own stories.

The vintage shire horse ornament has been stripped of its original harnesses and given a soft leather, bird of prey cutout that seems to be casting a shadow over its back.

• The base is made from offcuts of solid hardwood sourced from a local joiner, and saved from being used on a log burning stove.

• The leather is reclaimed from an old jacket.

• The horse and rabbit are second hand, china ornaments.
