Another in my ‘domestic sculpture’ series which repurposes household items and found objects.

These pieces evoke fairytales and nursery rhymes, with symbolisms of strength, innocence and vulnerability, but are left ultimately for you to imbue with your own story.

Sustainability is really important to me and these sculptures make use of things that are no longer wanted or would otherwise be thrown away but that have an intrinsic material value that can be repurposed.

This beautiful ceramic shire horse has been given a blanket made from a felted wool cardigan, with brass curtain rings (distorted into oval shapes, reminiscent of a zeros) and a recycled, stitched label ‘Without’.

On its back is a broken ceramic terrier dog that has been carefully reassembled and repaired with gold to celebrate its history and fragility.

They are mounted on a base made from reclaimed wood with vintage teak coasters for wheels.

This piece is 25cm long, 35cm tall and 12cm wide.
