Framed portrait on plaster
Framed portrait on plaster.
I’m really excited to be able to offer these prints. This technique of printing onto plaster is difficult and unpredictable and although that’s a challenge, it’s also what makes them so special.
The texture from the plaster gives a wonderful depth as well as imparting an aged quality, reminiscent of frescos and the peeling walls of old buildings. Add instant flea market style and interest to your home with these timeless beauties.
Printed onto plaster and mounted without glass in a recycled wooden frame.
The mount board is painted ‘old gold’ and gives a subtle shimmer behind the rough plaster edges. The frame is painted black and has been given two coats of beeswax for a soft sheen.
The artwork you will receive is the one shown in these photos.
Overall size is 38cm by 43cm.
The image used in this print is Portrait of Catharina Hendrika Horn, the Artist's Wife, Jacob Maris, c. 1867
