‘An egg’

A reproduction detail from an old master painting, printed onto canvas and framed using recycled wood.

This print is one of a kind due to the inclusion of reclaimed wooden beading taken from an old bookcase.

The frame is made from reclaimed teak flooring, rescued from my neighbour’s house. Each individual wooden piece is cleaned and sanded before being made into a frame.

The assembled frame was given two coats of teak oil before painting the backboard, inserting the carved wooden beading and attaching the picture.

Finally, it’s been given a coat of natural beeswax for a soft sheen.
